They open the payment link Melon sends and pay by bank or card. No Melon account and no login are required — the link works on its own, and the same link works for every future invoice.
What the creator receives
An email, and a text if they have opted in, containing their payment link. The link opens a page showing what is owed, itemised per page or split, with a single total.
Paying
Open the link.
Check the amount. The payment amount is editable for a partial payment.
Choose Bank (no fee) or Card (2.9% + $0.30).
Click Continue to payment.
One payment covers every page listed. The agency's records stay itemised per page.
They do not need an account
This is the point of the payment link. A creator who never signs up for Melon can still be invoiced and still pay, every time.
If they do want a Melon account, the same link lets them create one — which adds an invoice history, an earnings breakdown, and the option to connect a bank for automatic payment.
Reminders
An unpaid invoice triggers a reminder four days after the due date, then weekly. The amount shown is always current. Once the balance is settled the reminders stop.
Melon only generates a new invoice when there is new accrual since the last one, so an unchanged balance is never re-invoiced.
Agencies: sending the link
Open the split and use Copy payment link. It is safe to send directly — it is specific to that creator's balance.
