Melon uses a third-party company called Plaid to authenticate and connect users' bank accounts to our platform.
There is a known issue between Plaid and Navy Federal Credit Union that prevents Melon (or any other Plaid customer) from getting data from Navy Federal users' bank account.
From Plaid's Status Page (7/21/23):
Unfortunately, as a result of this issue, Melon is currently unable to process splits for Navy Federal users. As soon as the issue between Plaid and NFCU is resolved, we will again be able to support this institution.
To continue using Melon, we suggest having the NFCU user change the bank account linked to their OF and Melon to another institution.
