Melon emails agencies and creators about splits, charges, invoices, banking and payouts. Texts are sent for a smaller set, and most are opt-in. There is no "charge succeeded" notification — it was removed deliberately.
Third-party participants on a split receive nothing on any channel.
Who gets charge notifications
Charge emails go to the payer and the agency only.

Charge-failed texts are the one message sent whether or not the recipient opted in, because a failed charge needs action.

Referral participants
Referral recipients get invite, acceptance, insufficient-funds and payment-successful notifications. Participants whose relation is other — affiliates and similar — receive nothing at all. Neither do participants without a Melon account.
Texts
Texts cover invoices ready for payment, overdue invoices, charge failures, split lifecycle events, referral payments and disputes. Except for charge failures, all are opt-in and set per notification type in your notification preferences.
