Splits that cannot charge yet. Either the creator has not finished accepting the invite, or an active split has hit a problem that stops charges. The Pending tab on your dashboard lists both, with the reason on each split.

A pending split still accrues. Nothing is lost while it waits.

Not yet accepted

A new split stays pending until:

  • The creator accepts the invite, and

  • Where the split requires it, a bank account is connected.

It moves to Active once both are done. A split with an invite still outstanding reads pending even if everything else is ready.

Active splits that became blocked

An active split moves back to pending when something breaks:

Reason

Fix

Bank connection dropped

Reconnect the bank

Bank needs micro-deposit verification

Confirm the deposit amounts

A participant has not completed KYC

Finish verification in Settings

A connected platform account signed Melon out

Reconnect the platform account

Melon emails you when an active split becomes blocked, so you do not have to watch the tab.

Platform disconnections

An earnings split whose platform account needs reauthentication stops accruing until it is reconnected, and the missed days do not backfill themselves. See What does "needs reauthentication" mean?.

Reading the reason

Each pending split shows why. Start there rather than guessing — the four causes above have completely different fixes, and the split page names which one applies.
