Click Connect your account on the connect-bank screen and sign in to your bank through the secure connection window. Most accounts are usable immediately; some need an extra verification step that takes a couple of days.
Agencies connect a bank to receive payouts. Creators connect one to be charged.
Connecting
Go to the connect-bank screen — from onboarding, or from Settings.
Click Connect your account.
Find your bank and sign in with your online banking credentials.
Choose the account to use.
Melon never sees your banking password. The connection is handled by our banking provider, and Melon receives permission to read the account, not your login.
How long it takes
Usually immediate. Occasionally a connection takes up to 24 hours to finish setting up.
If your bank needs micro-deposit verification
Some banks require proof you own the account. Melon sends two small deposits, and you confirm the amounts. See Verifying your bank with a micro-deposit.
Choosing the right account
Connect the account the platform actually pays into. This matters most on splits that detect cashouts from bank deposits — if the platform deposits into an account Melon cannot see, the cashout is invisible.
Credit union members should be careful here: some credit unions only share a single sub-account, so a deposit landing in an unshared sibling account cannot be seen at all.
Banks with known limitations
Navy Federal links and works for payments, but its transaction feed is unreliable for cashout detection. See Does Melon work with Navy Federal Credit Union?.
