Melon sends two small deposits to your account, and you confirm the amounts to prove you own it. The deposits take one to two business days to arrive, and the account cannot be used until you confirm them.

When it is needed

Some banks do not allow instant verification, so ownership is proved by depositing a small amount and asking you to read it back. It is a bank requirement, not a sign of any problem with your account.

What to do

  1. Wait for the deposits — one to two business days.

  2. Find them on your statement. They are under $1 and show as coming from Melon or our banking provider.

  3. Enter both amounts in Melon exactly as they appear.

Melon emails you when verification is required, and the agency is notified too so they know why the split has not activated.

While you wait

Any split relying on the account stays Pending. It cannot charge or pay out until verification finishes. The balance keeps accruing — nothing is lost, it just cannot move.

If the deposits do not arrive

  • Confirm you are checking the account you actually connected.

  • Allow two full business days; weekends and holidays do not count.

  • Check the account accepts incoming transfers.

If they still have not landed after two business days, contact support.

If the amounts are rejected

Enter both amounts in the order shown, in dollars and cents. Too many failed attempts locks the verification and the account has to be connected again.
