Go to Settings â Verification and complete or correct the details there. KYC must be finished before Melon can pay you â money cannot be sent to an unverified account.
What KYC is
Know Your Customer: the identity checks financial regulations require before money can be moved on your behalf. Every agency, creator and participant who receives money has to complete it.
Creators who only ever pay, and never receive, are not asked for it.
What is needed
Legal name and date of birth
Address
Tax identification number
A government-issued ID, in some cases
Business details, if you are verifying as a business
Updating
Go to Settings.
Open Verification.
Update the details and submit.
Most updates verify within minutes. Some need manual review and take a day or two.
If verification fails
Usually a mismatch â a name that does not match the ID, or an address that does not match records. Check the details against your documents exactly, including middle names and abbreviations, and resubmit.
If Melon needs more information you get an email telling you what is missing.
Effect on splits
A split with an unverified participant stays Pending and cannot pay out. Balances keep accruing; they just cannot move until verification finishes.
