Open the split and use Edit Split Details on the Details tab. You can change the name and dates directly; changing participant percentages sends a request to the other party, who approves it from their own split page. Support is not involved in either case.

What you can change directly

From Edit Split Details:

  • Split name — editable by whoever created the split.

  • Start date — editable by the creator or the split initiator.

These save immediately. No approval, no waiting.

What needs the other party to approve

Percentages are a two-party agreement, so Melon does not let one side change them alone. Use Adjust participant percentages, or edit them from Edit Split Details, and Melon turns the change into a request:

  • You propose the change. Percentages, start date, or the input method.

  • The other party sees a card on the split page with your proposed values.

  • They approve or reject it. Nothing changes until they approve.

Who approves depends on who asked:

Who requests the change

Who approves it

The split initiator (creator)

The agency

The creator

Both parties see the pending request on the split page, so you can point a creator straight at it if they have not noticed.

Other controls on the split page

  • Auto charge — toggle automatic charging on or off.

  • Copy payment link — grab the creator's payment link to send them directly.

  • Cancel split — ends the split. Cancelling does not clear an outstanding balance; settle up first.

What you cannot change

The platform and the accrual basis (cashout or earnings) are fixed when the split is created. To change either, cancel the split and create a new one.
