Melon charges the creator, holds the funds while the transfer clears, then pays your agency on a weekly cycle. From charge to money in your account is typically about a week.
This article is the single source of truth for payment timing. Where another article mentions a date or a cutoff, it should link here rather than repeat it.
The four stages
1. The creator is charged
When: depends on the split's charge schedule. Cashout splits charge once a cashout is detected — Melon scans for platform deposits several times a day, so the charge starts within hours of the money landing. Earnings splits charge on their cycle. See When does Melon charge my creators?.
The charge appears on the creator's bank statement as "Melon paid your team!"
2. The transfer clears
How long: 3–5 business days for ACH.
OnlyFans Direct cashout splits clear in three business days from when the payout is approved, counting weekends as non-business days.
3. Your agency is paid
Cutoff: Thursday at 19:00 UTC. Any balance that has fully cleared by then is included in that week's payout.
19:00 UTC is 12:00 PT and 15:00 ET during US daylight saving time, and 11:00 PT / 14:00 ET outside it. The UTC time is the fixed one; the local time shifts twice a year.
Anything that has not cleared by the cutoff rolls to the following week. Payouts show on your statement as "Melon paid you out!"
4. Referral partners are paid
Referral and third-party payouts run one week after the agency payout for the same split, because Melon initiates a second transfer from your agency to them.
Referral recipients are charged 2% of the amount transferred. There is no additional cost to the agency sending the money.
A worked example
A creator on a cashout split withdraws on a Sunday night.
Day | What happens |
Monday | Melon sees the pending deposit |
Tuesday | The deposit lands; Melon charges the creator |
The following week | The ACH transfer clears, 3–5 business days after the charge |
Thursday, 19:00 UTC | If it has cleared by the cutoff, it makes that week's payout |
Friday | Funds arrive in the agency account |
Where a transfer lands in that 3–5 day range decides whether it makes the cutoff. A charge that clears on the Friday misses that week and pays out the next.
When a charge cannot be collected
If the creator has no usable bank or card, Melon generates a ledger invoice instead — payable by the creator without a Melon account. See How creators pay an invoice.
