If you have been added to a split as an extra participant — an account manager, a second agency account, a referral partner — Melon pays you your percentage directly. You do not invoice anyone and nobody forwards you money.
Getting set up
Accept the invite emailed to you.
Create a Melon account if you do not have one.
Complete KYC. Melon cannot pay you until identity verification is done.
Connect a bank account to receive payouts.
Until all four are done your share accrues but cannot be paid.
How you are paid
Melon charges the creator once for the whole amount, then splits it by percentage and pays each participant directly. Payouts run weekly.
If you are on a referral split, you are paid one week after the agency is paid for that split, because it is a second transfer from the agency to you. Referral recipients are charged 2% of the amount transferred.
What you can see
Your dashboard shows the splits you are on, what you have been paid, and what is due next.
How visible you are to others depends on the arrangement:
On a multi-participant split, everyone including the creator sees you and your percentage.
On a referral split, only the agency and you can see it. The creator cannot.
Notifications
You get invite, payment and insufficient-funds notifications for splits you are on. Participants recorded with an other relation — affiliates and similar — do not receive notifications on any channel.
